See the site first
Anchoring depends on what is underneath.
Almost never the equipment. Nearly always the hours, the counts and the ground.
Quoting a tent without seeing the site is how installations fail. Anchoring on grass, sand, asphalt and a concrete slab are four different jobs, and discovering which one you have on the morning of a wedding is far too late to solve it well.
Counts are the second failure. Ordering by instinct rather than from the guest list produces events where a handful of people have nowhere to sit, which is remembered long after everything that went right is forgotten.
And timing decides everything else. Equipment delivered after the florist and the caterer have filled the space creates a problem for every vendor there. Arriving early is unglamorous and it is most of what a good rental company actually sells.
Anchoring depends on what is underneath.
Plus a margin, because someone always does.
A tent is not a building.
